WHO IS DEBERN KENNELS?Principles In Breeding:Hi! Welcome to Debern! We are a small kennel located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. We are a small kennel which has been breeding and exhibiting Australian Shepherds for the better part of 16 years now. With over 35 years of breeding knowledge of Shetland Sheepdogs, we are using our expertise in breeding dogs that are sound in body and mind. Because we strongly believe in breeding for temperament and intelligence as well as a structurally sound and healthy puppy, Debern Aussies are capable of completing any task requested. Debern Kennels enjoys producing versatile dogs that are capable of working in obedience, conformation, herding, flyball, agility, Search & Rescue, and whatever else you are interested in, as well as being a loyal and happy, family lapdog! Our Aussies are happy in any kind of environment. Debern Kennels takes great pride in being awarded #1 Australian Shepherd Breeder in Canada in 1995 by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and by Pedigree Awards. We have now also been awarded #1 Australian Shepherd Breeder in Canada for 1998 by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and by Pedigree Awards. Our news for the Millennium is we have now also been awarded this honour of #1 Australian Shepherd Breeder in Canada for the year 2000 as well!! We feel very honoured to have been awarded this prestigious title three times now. Puppies are sold on a non-breeding agreement with a written health guarantee on eyes, hips, blood work, etc. We do sell to show homes on private treaty. Raised in a family environment our puppies are placed with care and consideration into new loving homes. We strive for quality and not quantity as we do not believe in over population. We do have puppies available occasionally, as well as offer Champion stud services and conformation handling services. Please contact us for further details.
